4. Advent

How silently, how silently,
The wondrous gift is giv’n!
So God imparts to human hearts
The blessings of His Heav’n.
No ear may hear His coming,
But in this world of sin,
Where meek souls will receive Him still,
The dear Christ enters in.
Phillips Brooks

Christmas Eve was a night of song
that wrapped itself about you like a shawl.
But it warmed more than your body.
It warmed your heart… filled it, too,
with a melody that would last forever.
Bess Streeter Aldrich

  1. Oh yes in silence so much revelation to us as mere humans. May we all share just a touch of the wonderment that our Faith gives to us with those less fortunate than ourselves. Bless you for this share Jonie.

  2. Enter into our lives, Lord this Christmas, without drums and cymbals, and give us the serenity to transmit to the world.

  3. Where meek souls will receive Him still…… I’m thankful that God never changes,
He loves us still . 🙂

  4. I try to listen as the Spirit whispers the truth of all pure knowledge quietly to my heart… Thank you, Jonie
