Attitude 2

Makoto Muramatsu

It isn’t what you have or who you are or
where you are or what you are doing
that makes you happy or unhappy.
It is what you think about it.
Dale Carnegie

Everything can be taken from a man or a woman but one thing:
the last of human freedoms
to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances,
to choose one’s own way.
Viktor Frankl

Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words.
Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior.
Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits.
Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values.
Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.
Mahatma Gandhi

Another way to be prepared is to think negatively.
Yes, I’m a great optimist.
But, when trying to make a decision,
I often think of the worst case scenario.
I call it ‘the eaten by wolves factor.’
If I do something, what’s the most terrible thing that could happen?
Would I be eaten by wolves?
One thing that makes it possible to be an optimist,
is if you have a contingency plan for when all hell breaks loose.
There are a lot of things I don’t worry about,
because I have a plan in place if they do.
Randy Pausch
